National Cross Country Championships, Leeds - 27 February 2010

Our U13 girls of Rebecca Flanagan 82nd (13.38), Megan Solomon 145th (14.11), Isabella Lewis 248th (14.56), Rebecca Bevan 295th (15.22), and Shona Monks 395th (17.09) all raced well in a field of 417 runners finishing 34th out of 51 teams.

In the U13 boy's race Connor Richardson made his national debut finishing in 185th (13.30), Callum Davidson finished 206th (13.37) close behind. Two other youngsters making their debut were James Crossley in his first ever cross country race made a superb debut finishing in 267th (14.09) and Nick Magee 356th (15.49) completing the team helping the boys to 34th team overall.

In the U15 boy's race Danny Walsh finished 173rd (16.10) and Alton Fowley 291st (17.12) out of 387 runners. In the U15 girl's race Megan Davies ran well for 51st (15.35), Leah Williamson 151st (16.45) and Katie Garrett completed the team in 271st (18.14) and the girls team finished 29th.

Our sole competitor in the U17 men's race Anthony Dalton finished 238th out of 302 runners. Emma Flanagan ran well in the junior race finishing 54th out of 91 runners.

Mid Lancs T&F League, Wigan - 12.04.2008

The first meeting of the Mid Lancs League was held at Robin Park Arena, Wigan and there were new personal bests set. In the U13 girls Chloe Law had a good meeting finishing 26th in the long jump setting a new pb of 2.66, in the U13 boys Callum Davidson in his first season on the track tackled the 800m finishing 5th in his heat with a great time of 2.37.30. In the U15 boys Danny Walsh finished 5th in the 1500m with a good time of 5.13.60 followed by Pascal Dark in 8th with 5.22.10. In the U17 men's races Ashley Kay finished 2nd in the 800m with a time of 2.07.90, and 2nd U17 in the 3000m knocking 21 seconds off his personal best with 9.38.30, Joe Johnston finished in a great 3rd U17 in the same race with 10.24.60. Aaron Barker finished 2nd in his 800m heat a bit off his pb with a time of 2.03.00. In the senior women Cat Gallagher had a busy day finishing 6th in the 200m, 5th in the 400m and 6th in the 800m with a time 2.39.10.
