As from 8 July 2008 our FUNdamental training group (6-8yr olds) will only be held on Tuesday and no longer on Thursday evenings.

Rossendale Sports Awards 2008

We had three winners at this year's Sports Awards, well done to Ashley Kay (Rising Star Award), Emma Flanagan (Young Sportsperson of the Year) and Steve Duxbury (Special Recognition Award). A special mention must go to Phil Bolton who narrowly missed out on the Young Volunteer of the Year Award. Phil took over as Coach to the T2W group two years ago aged just 16 and has earned great respect throughout the club. During the short time he has been coaching, there have been 10 athletes selected for their County in Cross Country, and on the fells we have had a Series winner, two athletes currently lying in the top two of the FRA English Fell championships and International Honours. And on a personal note I have seen great success from my own son this year under the guidance of Phil. From all the Junior Harriers well done and thankyou, all the best for University in September!
